DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Haw Creek near Clifford. White River at Elliston. Youngs Creek at Amity. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Newberry. .Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen across central Indiana as of early Wednesday morning. Up to 2 inches have fallen in south-central Indiana. This has led creeks to rise above flood stage and rivers will follow in the coming days. Additional rain is in the forecast over the next several days. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Elliston. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Wednesday, March 11. * IMPACTS...At 24.5 feet, North end of runway of Shawnee Airfield begins to flood. High water surrounds river cabins. Extensive agricultural flooding is in progress. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM EST Tuesday the stage was 8.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 24.8 feet early Saturday morning. Evaporation is the transformation of liquid into gas, and it happens because
molecules are excited by the application of energy and turn into vapor.
In order for water to evaporate it has to be on the surface of a body of water.

A fractus cloud (scud) is a fragmented, tattered cloud which has
likely been sheared off of another cloud. They are accessory clouds, meaning they
develop from parent clouds, and are named in a way which describes the original
cloud which contained them.
Fractus clouds which have originated from cumulus clouds are referred to as
cumulus fractus, while fractus clouds which have originated from stratus clouds
are referred to as stratus fractus. Under certain conditions a fractus cloud might
merge with another cloud, or develop into a cumulus cloud, but usually a
fractus cloud seen by itself will dissipate rapidly.
They are often observed on the leading and trailing edges of storm clouds,
and are a display of wind activity.
